Ryan O’Hearn, Jordan Westburg and Venezuelan Anthony Santander hit home runs in the eighth inning of a five-run Baltimore rally, leading the Orioles to a 5-3 victory over the White Sox on Saturday.
Adley Rutschman drew a walk before O’Hearn’s seventh homer, a blast to right field off Jordan Leasure. Ryan Mountcastle then singled off Michael Kopech (1-4) and Santander put Baltimore ahead 4-3 with a shot to right for his ninth homer of the year.
After Colton Cowser struck out, Westburg hit his eighth homer. Baltimore had only managed three singles before that inning.
Dillon Tate (2-0) pitched two and a third hitless innings and helped the Orioles improve to 3-3 in a seven-game road trip. Cuban Cionel Pérez worked the ninth for his first save of the season.
The last-place White Sox wasted a solid performance by Erick Fedde. Chicago lost for the eighth time in nine games. Fedde allowed three hits, struck out six and walked three in 6 1/3 innings.
For the Orioles, Venezuelan Anthony Santander went 1-3 with a run scored and two RBIs. Mexican Ramón Urías went 0-2.
For the White Sox, Cuban Bryan Ramos went 0-4. Puerto Rican Martín Maldonado went 0-2.
