Real Madrid supera al Barça por 3-2 en una remontada y se acerca al campeonato en España

Jude Bellingham scored at the beginning of stoppage time to send the ball into the net, leading Real Madrid to a 3-2 victory over Barcelona in Sunday’s Clásico, a win that brings the Madrid team closer to conquering the Spanish league.

“Spectacular. We have experienced a great night with our fans, something we all deserved. We have taken a huge step towards the League,” said Lucas Vazquez, who scored a goal and provided two assists.

Real Madrid spent the entire match chasing the scoreline after falling behind twice, with Andreas Christensen opening the scoring with a header from a corner kick in the sixth minute.

The first equalizer for Real Madrid came from Vinícius Júnior with a penalty kick in the 18th minute after a foul by Pau Cubarsí on Lucas Vázquez.

But once again, Barcelona took the lead after Fermín López found a rebound from Andriy Lunin in the small box and sent it into the net in the 69th minute.

The Blancos showed their fighting spirit by equalizing for the second time with a shot from Vázquez at the far post after a cross from Vinícius in the 73rd minute.

Bellingham seized the opportunity to score the winning goal in the first minute of stoppage time by putting the ball in the net after Vázquez’s cross was allowed to pass by Joselu, allowing the Englishman to score his 17th goal of the season (21 in all competitions).

“It speaks very highly of our work. We have had a very good League, we are on a very good path. Now we just have to finish it and we are going for it,” added Vázquez.

With this result, Real Madrid extended their unbeaten streak to 26 matches (20 wins and six draws) and now have 81 points, 11 more than second-placed Barcelona with six matches remaining in the championship.

Real Madrid faced many challenges from corner kicks. After Christensen’s goal, a new action occurred just before the first half-hour mark where Lamine Yamal shot at the near post, and Lunin pushed the ball into his own goal. However, there was no video replay that confirmed the ball had completely crossed the line, and the goal was not given.

For the second consecutive league Clásico, Real Madrid came from behind to secure victory, just as they did in the first leg with a 2-1 win thanks to a pair of goals from Bellingham.

The Whites and the Blaugranas clashed after the former achieved the feat of eliminating Manchester City away in their Champions League quarter-final tie midweek, while the latter suffered a home defeat to PSG in the same round.

It was a bitter game for Barcelona as Frenkie de Jong had to leave the field in the final minutes of the first half after suffering a new ankle injury in a clash with Federico Valverde.

Coach Xavi Hernández may have led his last edition of a Clásico after announcing his departure from the team a few weeks ago. He leaves with a record of four wins and six losses in these matches, including the most recent four losses in all competitions.

ATLÉTICO FALLS TO ALAVÉS

Atlético Madrid ended a bitter week with a 2-0 defeat in their visit to Alavés.

Carlos Benavidez (15 minutes) and Luis Rioja (90+2) scored for Alavés, where Giuliano Simeone, the youngest son of Atlético manager Diego Simeone, played.

The Colchoneros suffered defeat after being eliminated by Borussia Dortmund in their Champions League quarter-final tie midweek.

This loss leaves Atlético with 61 points in fourth place, just three points ahead of Athletic Bilbao, who they will face in the next round.

Alavés moved away from the relegation zone to 13th place with 35 points.

In other results, Villarreal defeated Almería 2-1, and Getafe drew 1-1 with Real Sociedad.
